David is – quite literally – the architect behind the BaseCamp boathouse. A longtime partner and collaborator with BaseCamp CEO Bett, David worked tirelessly with Brett to help realize BaseCamp's vision through thoughtful, purposeful and intelligent design.

Clean white lines. Full length windows, and glass walls that fold away to let in the warm ocean breeze. A rooftop deck with 360-degree water views. Creating a sense of calm and clarity by transporting those who visit the boathouse to an insular world of openness and natural beauty, bursting with care and attention to detail.

But on this trip to the boathouse, David is here for another purpose – to celebrate. On his 31st wedding anniversary, David and his wife, Laura, were invited to enjoy the BaseCamp boathouse and all it has to offer. A five-star chef to prepare their meals. A swim in the lap pool overlooking the Lockwood Folly. A trip down the dock to the water’s edge. And – a first for Laura – a chance to stay at one of the unique properties designed by her husband.
